NOW ACCEPTING CONFERENCE SESSION PROPOSALS FOR THE 2017 NATIONAL ARTS MARKETING PROJECT (NAMP) CONFERENCE
DEADLINE: MAY 8, 2017
CO-HOSTED BY ARTSMEMPHIS AND AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS

By Suzanne Lynch, Director of Marketing and Development –

On November 10-13, 700 arts marketing professionals will convene at the Peabody Hotel in Downtown Memphis to explore the role of arts marketing and audience engagement in creating a future that is promising, creative, and profitable. The annual NAMP Conference is a premiere program of Americans for the Arts, and invites session proposals from all arts professionals.

Session Guidelines

The 2017 Conference will revolve around three core themes:

YOU: What area(s) of expertise do I need to refine or expand? What new skill(s) do I need to learn to be effective in my individual career? What do I need to succeed?

YOUR WORLD: What information does the field need to navigate the current environment: What resources we can leverage? What best practices can we share? What new and fresh ideas can we replicate?

YOUR FUTURE: What is your vision for the future? What is your organization’s vision of the future? What is our collective vision for the future? How do we reach it? What barriers stand in our way?

About NAMP

For over 19 years, the National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) has been dedicated to serving arts professionals seeking to market the arts, engage audiences, and serve their communities. 2001 marked the first NAMP Conference in Los Angeles, and as the nation’s arts marketing community grows, so does the gathering. Today, the NAMP Conference brings 700 arts marketers from across the U.S., representing a diversity of arts and cultural disciplines: from the visual, performing, folk and literary arts, to botanical, science, and zoological.

Each year NAMP continues to learn how to market smarter and gain inspiration from industry experts such as creator and host of Radiolab Jad Abumrad, Etsy’s Vice President Matt Stinchcomb, founder of STREB Extreme Action Elizabeth Streb, and best-selling author Scott Stratten.
