The 2022 Porter Fleming Literary Competition, now in its 28th year, is a regional competition that counts Tennessee among its participating states. The competition recognizes outstanding fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and plays. Writers age 18 and older who reside in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia are invited to enter.

The competition is administered by the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, GA, with the support of the Porter Fleming Foundation.
